I can’t believe it’s almost the end of February! This month flew by so quickly. Here are five of my favorite finds this month!
Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt c/o: Oh my goodness! The Yasso team sent me all of their new pints and multiple bars and they are so good. So far my favorite flavors are Caramel Pretzel-Mania (it has chocolate covered pretzels in it so you get the perfect mix of salty and sweet), Chocolate Peanut Butter and Yay (there are big chunks of peanut butter swirls and peanut butter chips), Coffee Brownie Break (coffee ice cream has always been my favorite and this one has chunks of brownies and cookies), Loco Coco Caramel (this one has coconut-flavored frozen yogurt, caramel swirls, and chocolate chips), Rolling in the Dough (the pieces of cookie dough are so good). Each pint has four servings, which are between 100 and 150 calories with one to five grams of fat and five to seven grams of protein.
Naturopathica Holistic Facial c/o: Naturopathica has skincare, body care, and herbal remedies as well as a spa, cafe, and meditation room. I met with the founder then got their new holistic facial. First I filled out a questionnaire about my diet, stress level, lifestyle, and skincare routine to find out my Skin Personality. There are five Skin Personality types— Adaptive, Hormone Reactive, Stress Reactive, and Mature — the facial is tailored to your Skin Personality. Each personality has a specific concentrate that’s used during the facial and for seven days after. The facial starts with lymphatic brushing followed by a detailed sculpting massage with their probiotic Manuka Honey Cleansing Balm to release facial tension, improve blood flow, and nourish the skin’s microbiome. The esthetician customizes the facial with targeted treatments, including exfoliation and extractions. You leave with a holistic prescription of skincare, beauty foods, herbal remedies, and well-being rituals so you can cater your life to your Skin Personality. I’ve been using the concentrate for my Skin Personality and my skin looks and feels amazing right now! I want to try all the other products for my Skin Personality (Stress Reactive).
Margaux Ballet Flats c/o: I met the founders of Margaux last year to interview them for Forbes. (I still have to publish it.) When my friend said they were having a sample sale, I jetted right over. I bought three pairs of their classics (for less than the price of one pair) and they are so comfortable. I can’t wait until it’s flat season again so I can start wearing them.
Julie’s Real c/o: I went to a truffle making class with the Julie’s Real team and other journalists. The best events involve chocolate and nut butter! I left with each nut butter and granola flavor. I love making nut butter and jelly sandwiches on rice crackers and yogurt and granola. My favorite nut butter so far is cacao espresso and my favorite granola is the cacao coconut. The husband and wife founders became paleo overnight when the husband got sick and had to change his diet. His wife started making nut butters and granola…and eventually, they quit their jobs and started Julie’s Real.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: I’ve been watching Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and I love it. Rebecca Bunch makes partner at an impressive NYC law firm, but she runs into her first love from sleepaway camp and decides to quit her job and move across the country to rekindle their relationship. But he has a long-term girlfriend so she and her new best friend at their quirky law firm scheme to break them up. The show has musical numbers and it’s funny, but they also touch on some very serious subjects.
