May 2020 Checklist

Has 2020 actually been 2,000 years? It feels like that since we are social distancing and spending so much time at home. Here’s what I want to accomplish this month, which will probably feel like a year.

  1. Work on publicity and marketing for “What Next?: Your Five-Year Plan for Life after College.”
  2. Read two books.
  3. Do Barre3 at least 3 times a week.
  4. Cook all my meals and make at least three new recipes.
  5. Promote my new coaching and consulting services.
  6. Explore Riverside Park.
  7. Publish at least 1 Elana Lyn article a week.
  8. FaceTime friends and family frequently.
  9. Go for a daily walk in the park.
  10. Go to bed by 11 pm.

And here’s how I did last month.

  1. Work on publicity and marketing for “What Next?: Your Five-Year Plan for Life after College.” (Yes!)
  2. Read two books. (Yes! I read The Two Lives of Lydia Bird, The Right Swipe, and The Wives.)
  3. Continue BBG Round 4! (Yes!)
  4. Cook all my meals and make at least three new recipes. (Yes! I shared them here.)
  5. Promote my new coaching and consulting services. (Yes!)
  6. Write at least two Forbes articles. (Yes!)
  7. Publish two Elana Lyn articles a week. (Yes!)
  8. FaceTime friends and family frequently. (Oh, yes!)
  9. Keep a daily gratitude journal. (No. I didn’t leave my apartment for 2 weeks, which I know is a privilege many people don’t have, but I wasn’t feeling very inspired. It was tough on my mental health.)
  10. Try three new at-home workouts. (Yes! I tried multiple Barre3 and Active by Popsugar workouts.)
