I recently went through a bit of a health scare. My arm had been numb and tingling for a few weeks and I went to the doctor at school then a neurologist to see what was wrong. I did two different MRIs and they found a small meningioma tumor and a slipped disc in my cervical spine. I thought it was just carpal tunnel syndrome, but it ended up being more serious than I thought.
I did some research online (which made me more nervous!) but once I got a second opinion, I started to feel better. The experience reminded me of the importance of taking health seriously, finding the best doctors, and doing whatever tests they recommend. This month I’ll be focusing on feeling better, taking care of myself by going to physical therapy regularly, and trying to go to bed early and relax.
