August 2018 Checklist

I like to write down my goals each month. It helps me remember them and stay accountable. Here are my goals this month!

August Goals:

  1. Start Columbia Journalism school!!!
  2. Eat mostly or totally gluten-free and dairy-free.
  3. Go to bed by 11 pm most weeknights. 
  4. Write at least 7 Forbes articles.
  5. Continue BBG.
  6. Wake up by 7:30 am most weekdays.
  7. Get 8 hours of sleep a night.
  8. Read at least one book. (I’m reading The Banker’s Wife. My mom lent it to me and it’s by Christina Alger, the author of one of my favorite books, The Darlings.)
  9. Meal prep and pack lunch and snacks every school day.
  10. Publish Elana Lyn posts at least two times a week. (I’m going to be busy with school and some freelance assignments.)And here’s how I did last month!

July Goals:

  1. Pitch one new publication. (Done!)
  2. Eat mostly or totally gluten-free. (Done!)
  3. Go to bed by 11 pm most weeknights. (Done!)
  4. Write at least 7 Forbes articles. (Done!)
  5. Go on a long bike ride. (Done!)
  6. Wake up by 7:30 am most weekdays. (50/50!)
  7. Get 8 hours of sleep a night. (50/50!)
  8. Read at least one book. (Done! I read The Female Persuasion and highly recommend it.) 
  9. Take Summer Fridays. (Yep! I went to The American Museum of Natural History, The New York Historical Society, The Met, Wave Hill, The Cooper Hewitt, and The Museum of the City of New York.) 
  10. Publish Elana Lyn posts two or three times a week. (Done!)
