I’m a big fan of checklists and breaking up big goals into smaller, actionable goals. Here’s what I want to focus on this month! I hope this list inspires you to join!
August Goals:
- Use Runkeeper to train for a half marathon in October and stick to the plan.
- Run 2-4 times per week.
- Wake up between 6:30-7 am on weekdays.
- Continue to work on my big project!
- Write 5 Forbes articles.
- Read two books. (Right now I’m reading Rising Strong: How the Ability to Reset Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead)
- Pitch at least one new publication.
- Do the VB6: Eat Vegan Before 6:00 to Lose Weight and Restore Your Health . . . for Good
- Publish Elana Lyn posts 3 times per week.
- Run a 10K.
And here’s how I did last month:

- Continue to work on my big project and make some moves. (Yes!)
- Write 5 Forbes articles. (Yes!)
- Read two books. (Before We Were Yours and Fitness Junkie: A Novel)
- Do something fun for the 4th of July! (Yes!)
- Have a picnic in Central Park. (Nope!)
- Continue with BBG Round 4! (Nope!)
- Run a 10K. (Yes!)
