5 Good Finds: November 2017

It has been fun to put together my 5 Good Reads and 5 Good Beauty Products roundups so I decided to write a monthly roundup with my favorite things that month. Let’s get started shall we?

Outlander: I’m usually a few years (or even a decade) late on watching television shows. Last winter I watched all of Gilmore Girls before watching the reunion and two winters ago I watched all of Felicity. My friend Amanda recommended Outlander and I absolutely love it. It’s a sweeping romance that spans centuries.

Before the Fall: Eleven people leave Martha’s Vineyard on a private jet headed back to New York when the plane dives into the ocean. The only survivors are Scott Burroughs, a painter and the four-year-old boy he rescues from the crash. The boy is the heir to a media empire similar to Fox news. The book switches from past to present as we learn about the people on the plane as well as what unfolds for Scott and the boy as people investigate the crash. It was so good!

Reputation: I have been listening to Taylor Swift’s new album, Reputation, on repeat. It is so good and a lot of the songs have a great beat for running. I loved getting a glimpse into Taylor’s relationships and life and, as with all of her songs, I enjoyed guessing who each song is about.

Nespresso Inissia Espresso Machine and Aeroccino: I love being able to make homemade lattes. I had my first soy latte on a coffee date my junior year of high school and after that, I was hooked. I think I got a grande soy latte from Starbucks every single day from junior year of high school until two years ago when I started drinking coffee more than lattes. Now I can make my own and I like my almond milk lattes even more than the Starbucks ones that are now like $5!

Venus et Fleur Lé Petite Eternity Arrangement (c/o): I love having fresh flowers at home and these roses last an entire year. When I met the Venus et Fleur founders they explained that the roses are cut at their peak and treated with a proprietary solution and color pigmentation process that makes them maintain their freshness and biological structure. I keep them on my nightstand and they smell great and make me smile every time I see them.
