I ran my fourth half-marathon, The Popular Brooklyn Half-Marathon, on Saturday. It was cold, windy, and rainy, but I still made a new personal record. More than 25,000 people, myself included, came out despite the very dreary weather. We started at the Brooklyn Museum, circled Grand Army Plaza, looped around Prospect Park, ran along Ocean Parkway, and finished on the Coney Island boardwalk. I felt really confident during this race and ran the entire way. (I think I also wanted to run as quickly as possible so I could go watch The Royal Wedding, eat gluten-free chocolate chip pancakes, and have hot coffee!)
