I like to write down my goals each month. It helps me remember then and stay accountable. Here are my goals for the first month of 2018!
January Goals:
- Use RunKeeper, run 2-4 times per week, and run a 10K on my own.
- Start BBG again.
- Run the Midnight Run in Central Park on New Year’s Eve.
- Write at least 5 Forbes articles.
- Cook at least twice. (Have to start somewhere, right!)
- Pitch multiple publications.
- Start a journal and write at least once a week, even if it’s just short thoughts. (I really want to get: The 52 Lists Project: A Year of Weekly Journaling Inspiration, 52 Lists for Happiness: Weekly Journaling Inspiration for Positivity, Balance, and Joy, and Start Where You Are: A Journal for Self-Exploration)
- Read a book and write another 5 Good Books roundup.
- Use my planner and always keep a detailed handwritten to-do list.
- Publish Elana Lyn posts two or three times a week.
And here’s how I did last month.
December Goals:
- Use RunKeeper, run 2-4 times per week, and run a 10K on my own. (Done!)
- Finish two personal essays. (Done!)
- Write at least 5 Forbes articles. (Done!)
- Send new article pitches. (Done!)
- Make my own coffee and lattes in the morning instead of buying it. (Sometimes…)
- Wear my contacts, do my hair, and put on makeup most days of the week. (Done!)
- Go to bed at 11 on weeknights. (Mostly!)
- Write another 5 Good Books roundup. (Done!)
- Use my planner and always keep a detailed handwritten to-do list. (Done!)
- Publish Elana Lyn posts two or three times a week. (Done!)
