1. Peloton Cycle: I used FitReserve to book a class at Peloton. Peloton classes are unique because they are all filmed so that people with Peloton bikes at home can take classes. I’m sure the queen of GOOP, Gwenyth Paltrow, is a member unless she has consciously uncoupled from her instructor. They also have a leader board so you can compete with other people in class. The studio also has a swanky coffee bar where you can stop for a drink and a snack after class. I’ll write a longer review soon.
2. TrampoLEAN: I went to a TrampoLEAN class with ClassPass and realized that, while fun, jumping on a trampoline is hard work. It was a fantastic workout and I can’t wait to go back. There was a lot of squatting, pushup(ing), jumping, and hopping. I’ll also write a longer review soon…stay tuned.
3. City Society Personal Branding Panel: I can’t say enough good things about City Society. The personal branding session was lead by three fantastic NYC entrepreneurs, Michela Aramini (The Lovely It Girl), Julia Lovallo (Julia Lovallo), and Jess Peterson (Mighty Oak Grows).
4. Uptown Pilates: I took a Tower class at Uptown Pilates. It was a 55 minute class on the Tower machine. I’ve never done Tower before but it’s essentially helps make mat positions harder by adding resistance and extra tools. It was difficult and I definitely felt it the next day!
5. Madison Square Eats: I went to Madison Square Eats for lunch with a friend. They have great vendors like People’s Pops, Mexicue, Milk, Madison Parlour, Two Tablespoons.
Upcoming Event You Need to Know:
1. Joan Kuhl’s event Moving from Achieving to Leading at the 92nd Street Y: Joan told me about this event and I wish that I could go, but I’ll be in Florida. I met Joan at a networking event and loved learning about her story (so much so that she’ll be featured in a Career Profile soon)! Her event will teach people how about relationship building, executive presence, authentic communication skills, and other leadership qualities that will take you from cubicle to corner office. I know you’ll learn so much when you go!
Alright, I’m off to spend Memorial Day Weekend in Fire Island with friends. Have a good weekend!
