Introducing…Elana Lyn

I write a lot about authenticity. I think that it is so important to be genuine, authentic, and true to yourself. I think you will be happier and more successful if you embrace and celebrate what makes you, you. I’ve been thinking about changing my blog name for a very long time. The Preppy Post Grad worked when I just graduated from college. It worked when my blog was about preppy clothes and accessories. It worked for a while — and I am so glad that it did because it led me to where I am now. I’ve been sharing my stories and advice with other publications and wanted to change to a more professional name. I did a lot of brainstorming but came back to something that is 100% me my name. You can now find my blog at www.elanalyn.com but if you type in www.thepreppypostgrad.com or even www.elanalyngross.com it will redirect you to Elana Lyn. I’ll be sharing some more reflections on blogging and personal branding this week because they helped me make the decision to change the name of the blog.

I have grown so much both personally and professionally since creating my blog. I have had new experiences, developed new interests, and learned new skills, which have consequently changed the content of my blog. My blog evolved from fashion to career advice and lifestyle. I’m learning as I go and sharing my experiences, mistakes, and stories with you. Whether it’s a new recipe, preparing for my annual review, reflecting on the hiring process, or getting ready to ask for a raise I hope we are learning something new together.

Thank you so much for continuing to read! I love writing this blog and I hope that shines through. I feel so fortunate to have met so many driven, talented, ambitious, and supportive women through writing.

Thank you so much! I use WordPress but worked with Blair from Leap to design my blog. She is absolutely wonderful and I really recommend working with her. xx
