The Workout: SurfSet and Sand is a surfing themed class at Crunch. The class uses SurfSet Fitness’ RipSurfer X, the world’s first total-body surf trainer which stimulates the fitness benefits of surfing without needing the ocean. SurfSet and Sand at Crunch was designed by two instructors who are surfers. You alternate between planks, squats, and other pilates and yoga positions, paddling, surf stances, and exercises on the “beach.” During the time on the beach, we did a series of exercises with a sandbag. We did squats and exercises for our arms and abs. It was a fantastic workout.
What to Wear / Bring: Wear a bathing suit and wetsuit. Just kidding! Wear what you’d normally wear to workout.
What to Expect: Expect to have a lot of fun! They played fantastic music and I had so much fun even though it was a hard workout.
Will I Go Back: Absolutely! Surf’s up, dude!
Crunch gave me a free month trial to review classes but this is an honest review.
