The Workout: I went to an AntiGravity Yoga ‘Wings’ class at Crunch. The class uses flowing fabric hammocks as a prop. The hammock allowed me to do inverted positions like headstands. These poses allow you to align your body and relieve compressed joints. Here is a great video by Crunch.

What to Wear / Bring: Wear a tight shirt or just a sports bra because your shirt may fall down when your upside down. You don’t need to bring the hammock or the mat.
What to Expect: Expect to listen to listen to fun music and leave feeling a little more graceful and a little bit taller. I loved getting to pretend to be an acrobat! The instructor was really hands on and was quick to spot problems if people were having difficulty with positions. The hammock makes it easier to do positions I wouldn’t be able to otherwise, like headstands. I have pretty serious scoliosis and the class helped me stretch and feel more elongated. I recommend it. You may see spots or get dizzy – apparently that’s normal and will decrease with time. I absolutely want to go again soon!
I received a free month-long membership for Crunch in exchange for reviewing some of my favorites on my blog. This is an honest review.
