Y7 Yoga’s motto is beat bumping, sweat dripping, candlelit yoga. I heard about it from a friend and knew that I had to try it out.
Y7 Yoga Review
The Workout: I signed up for Friday Night Party Vinyasa and enjoyed a great class doing yoga to a Michael and Janet Jackson playlist. I loved doing yoga to fun, lively music. I liked that I got to spend time flowing on my own. (Although, I’ll admit that I looked at the woman in front of me for guidance and pose inspiration.) There is something special about being in a dark room surrounded by candles.
Wear / Bring: Wear what you’d normally wear to yoga. Right now my favorite brands are Lululemon (more expensive) and Old Navy (less expensive). They have yoga mats and stocked showers so you don’t have to bring toiletries or a mat. I recommend bringing water in case you get thirsty.
What to Expect: It was a fun and challenging Vinyasa class. I definitely felt the workout the next day. The class description promises that the class will, “open, stretch and restore your body from the inside-out. Each class will help link breath and movement, deepen the connection of mind and body, and bring a greater consciousness to your subtle body.” I can assure you that it does!
I was provided a complimentary class for myself and a friend but it is an honest review. We both really loved the class!
P.S. I got the formatting idea from a blogger I love, Pretty and Fun!
