And now as an adult, I work in an environment where I get to be creative in ways I had never dreamed! I am so grateful for it because it seems the more I love my job, the more it loves me back 🙂

My favorite tips of yours is to be authentic – I have the most success and satisfaction when I write about things I know about in my own voice.

After graduating from college with a degree in political science and a concentration in criminology, I thought my next step was law school. I took a year off and prepared for the LSAT, but soon realized that the life of a lawyer was not what would make me happy. It took me five years after that realization, a couple of jobs, and a health setback before I started my blog and really found my passion for writing. These are great tips to follow for anyone looking to start their own blog.
