5 Good Finds: April 2020

In this series, I share five random things I enjoyed throughout the month.

What Next?: Your Five Year Plan for Life after College: This is my book! It is a dream come true to have a published book and I smile every single time I look at it! I had the manuscript on my desktop and bound copies of the manuscript for months, but seeing the finished book is so thrilling!

Barre3: I did a two-week free trial for Barre3’s online platform and now I’m a paid subscriber. They have hundreds of workout options that incorporate strength conditioning, cardio, and mindfulness. It feels like a mix of pilates, barre, yoga, and meditation. I have found the 45-minute workouts to be the perfect amount of time. I have a feeling it’s working since I’m always sore after a workout!

Fancy Popcorn: I’ve found little rituals while I’ve been social distancing and one is having a small bowl of popcorn almost every night after dinner but before a small dessert. I spice up Skinny Pop with parmesan cheese and lemon juice and kosher salt, Trader Joe’s Chile Lime Seasoning Blend, paprika, or chili powder. I want to try some new popcorn recipes!

Mrs. Meyers Liquid Handsoap in Bluebell: I love Mrs. Meyers products and Mrs. Meyers Liquid Handsoap in the bluebell scent is my new favorite. You might as well like the smell when you’re washing your hands a hundred times a day! A lot of the Mrs. Meyers’ products are out of stock, but eventually, I’d like to buy the Dishsoap and Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner in the bluebell scent.

Central Park in the Spring: Thank goodness for Central Park. It has always been my “happy place” and a refuge, but now more than ever. I’ve been taking long walks with my mask on and it’s beautiful to see everything in bloom. The Conservatory Gardens is particularly breathtaking right now.
