The Museum of Modern Art offers a perfect way to start each month: a morning of art and meditation. The MoMA opens bright and early at 7:30 a.m. and you can walk through all of the collections and see art by famous artists including Monet, Rothko, Picasso, Matisse, Cezanne, Van Gough, and more! The galleries are much less crowded than usual. After strolling through the gallery, there’s drop-in meditation then a half an hour guided meditation at 8:30 a.m. The guided meditation is led by people in the wellness community. Quiet Mornings at the MoMA happen the first Wednesday of every month. If you’re based in NYC, I definitely recommend it!
Now if only they’d do it at The Met, The Frick, and The Guggenheim!
