Good Advice: February 2016

I got to interview four more inspirational women this month. Here is my favorite piece of advice from each woman.

“Don’t just let life happen to you. Be able to visualize what you want.” Lucy Kaylin, Editor in Chief of O The Oprah Magazine

“I think it’s important to be open-minded. You might not land that dream job right away, but it doesn’t mean that each step along the way isn’t going to teach you a few important lessons. Everyone has to start somewhere.” Dani Martinson, Social Media Editor at StyleWatch

“Keep going. If you love writing – and I believe that you must – keep plugging away. There will be tough days, days where you don’t write a word, but sitting down to face the blank page or screen, is such an important part of the process. Consistency is half the battle.” Aidan Donnelly Rowley, Novelist

“Talent is great. Intelligence is great. But those qualities mean nothing without perseverance. In an entrepreneurial journey, setbacks are guaranteed, whether big or small, and you have to move past them and take them as learning moments for your next step.” Nur-E Farhana Rahman, Knotty Gal

I’m so excited that you can now see all of the Career Profiles on one page!
