Internships at Anthropologie

Do you adore Anthropologie?  You can intern for them!  I am a huge advocate for interning.  I like to adapt the Saint Bernard quote: “you will find something more in woods than in books. Trees and stones will teach you that which you can never learn from masters.”   I think that you can learn skills at internships that you can’t read about in books (plus I have only lived in Manhattan and DC and Central Park and the Mall can’t really be considered the woods).

Visual Communications Intern

Job Description

The Visual Communications Intern will report to the Visual Assistant and will work closely with our Visual Project Manager on some projects.  The intern will be responsible for assisting with the organization and support of the visual team.  Some responsibilities include: sourcing and researching supplies, organizing and maintaining the visual department’s supply shelves and library, assisting with the preparation and organization of image folders on our photo sharing program, helping with the preparation of supplies to Anthropologie stores, and being involved in the general communication process between the visual team and stores.  The Visual Communications Intern will be involved in prototypes within stores and inspiration meetings.

We are looking for someone who is going to school for Communications, Business, Marketing, or English with a specific interest in fashion and home retail, who is organized and has a great attention to detail.  Word and Excel experience required.  Some hands on craft may be required.

Visual Merchandising Internship:

Job Description

Anthropologie seeks bright, motivated individuals for a Fall/Holiday Internship position with our visual team! Take advantage of unparalleled learning opportunities within our small, highly creative team.

Interns will be encouraged to participate in all aspects of our visual and display program and be given substantive roles in activities that may include: creating and maintaining display, assisting in completion of visual objectives and upholding the overall aesthetic of the store.

Additional responsibilities may include working with customers on the sales floor, product placement, managing stock level maintenance, maintaining store standards and analyzing sales data.

Applicants must receive college credit for this internship. (do not apply otherwise)

Display and Merchandising Internship

Anthropologie seeks bright, motivated individuals for Visual Display & Merchandising Internships with our visual teams. Take advantage of unparalleled learning opportunities within our small, highly creative team. Interns will be encouraged to participate in all aspects of our visual and display program and be given substantive roles in activities that may include: creating and maintaining display, assisting in completion of visual objectives and upholding the overall aesthetic of the store. Our interns play an active role in helping to achieve the Anthropologie mission – to create an unimagined experience.

  1. looking for my daughter who is a 9th grader at a jewish dual curriculum private hugh school. She has a pretty long day of classes but thought of looking into this for her because this is where her passion is. We live in Skokie, IL. are there any opportunities around here?
